  4.     Members of an elite South Carolina country club thought the
  5. crest seemed familiar. So closely did a Ralph Lauren emblem, right,
  6. resemble the golfers' heraldic device, left, that the club sued for
  7. trademark infringement. Last week a judge forbade Polo/Ralph Lauren
  8. to use the logo and required payment of $100,000 in legal fees and
  9. $250,000 to Pine Lakes International. Now the mighty are
  10. crestfallen.
